Legend of Zelda

Intro

The Legend of Zelda is a well-known video game series and one of Nintendo’s biggest franchises. Since February 21, 1986, Nintendo has been continuing to make games from this franchise but the one I want to talk about is the Breath of the Wild series. Breath of the Wild was officially announced in a Wii U Direct presentation on January 23, 2013. Eiji Eonuma stated that the game intended to challenge the expectations that people had for the franchise. Breath of the Wild was released worldwide for the Wii U and as a Nintendo Switch launch title on March 3, 2017.

At the heart of the Zelda franchise there lies a deep appreciation for the series' lore and mythology. Fans taking apart every storyline and unraveling the secrets and the various incarnations of the main hero Link. Each game has multiple different storylines to link and how he will save the Kingdom again. Fans have found every easter egg and every secret to the franchise.

Cosplay

Cosplay also plays a significant role in the Zelda fandom, with a multitude of enthusiasts putting their heart and soul into their work. Some travel overseas just to meet people who cosplay like them. There were people trying to even beat the Guinness World Record at the MCMC Comic con in London for the largest gathering of people dress as Zelda characters. One of the best aspects of the Legend of Zelda cosplay is the huge diversity of characters and designs within the franchise. With such a wide range of characters in this Franchise there's a character to suit all cosplayer’s tastes and preferences.

Collectibles

Fans of the Legend of Zelda series are renowned for their creativity and passion, often putting all their love for the franchise into crafting a wide array of collectibles inspired by the iconic games. From handmade replicas to designed accessories, these collectables are signs of their passion for this series. One of the most popular types of fan-made collectibles is the replica of weapons and props. Examples like the Master sword, Hylian Shield and even the little Rupee's that you pick up in the game as you progress through the game.

Fan art is also a popular form of collectible inspired by the Legend of Zelda series. Talented artists within the fandom create amazing paintings and mostly digital artwork that show the scenes and landscapes from the games. These pieces of art often showcase a diverse range of styles, from cartoony or to detailed and realistic offering fans the opportunity to admire and collect artwork.
