After releasing her first country album she transitioned into pop music and has written eleven albums since. She has countless awards dedicated to her hard work as an artist, including multiple Grammys. Throughout her time growing as an artist, her fan base has grown along with her. This fandom calls themselves Swifties and is comprised of individuals of all ages and genders from all around the world. Swifties are known for their passion for Taylor and her music and show their love for her in countless different ways.

Platforms like TikTok and Instagram are two of the most used social media sites by fans. One Instagram account under the handle @thetstimes has 86.2 thousand followers and is one of the biggest Swiftie fans accounts on the app. The page is run by a Swiftie named Isabella Grace and was created to update followers on everything Taylor Swift. From updates about Taylor’s life, concerts, album releases, and just about anything else you could think of. There are other Swiftie Instagram accounts that post similar content like @tstourtips and @tstheerastour. However, one of the biggest fan accounts can be found on TikTok under the handle @tessdear. She has 530.3 thousand followers and has become one of the most well-known Swifties in the fandom. She has been given the title of “livestream queen” because of her dedication to providing fans with live video of every single concert Taylor performs during The Eras Tour. Her streams include more than just that, though. She provides countdowns to each era that Taylor will perform, most importantly the surprise song section of the show. The Eras Tour began in 2023 and became one of the most highly anticipated tours ever by a musician. Swifties saw this as their opportunity to see Taylor in concert and hear their favorite songs live. Millions of fans flooded Ticketmaster to secure their tickets to one of the dozens of shows throughout 2023 and 2024. According to Ticketmaster Business, “Over 2 million tickets were sold on Ticketmaster for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour on Nov. 15 – the most tickets ever sold for an artist in a single day (2022). Purchasing tickets for hundreds of dollars was just the beginning of the tour process for Swifties. Now, a year into the Eras Tour, the concerts have proven how passionate they can be for Taylor. Most fans make niche friendship bracelets to wear and trade with other Swifties at the shows. Others spend hours creating detailed costumes for the tour, either to match Taylor or reference one of her iconic eras. Some fans were able to purchase tickets in their city or state, while others had to travel across the country to experience Taylor live. The Eras Tour has proven the lengths that the Swifties will go to for their favorite artist.

It is easy to spot Swifties in public because they are often wearing merch representing their support for Taylor. Taylor's team has created and released countless clothing designs, jewelry pieces, ornaments, and other merch for Swifties to purchase. One of the most anticipated merch drops for fans is the album-themed cardigans. There are currently five cardigans that Swifties can get their hands on and proudly wear. Another merch item that fans fought to own was The Eras Tour blue crewneck. Resellers sold that specific crew for over double and even triple the original price. Swifties buy these items to connect with fellow Swifties and display their support for Taylor.
Swifties have many ways that they express their love and passion for Taylor. Fighting over expensive tickets, creating social media accounts for other fans, or collecting pieces of her merch are only a few parts of being a Swiftie. There are countless ways fans show their support like downloading music, creating art inspired by songs, and even getting lyrics tattooed. Taylor Swift has created a huge following of dedicated fans who will support her through everything she does.
